School Security Officer JOB DESCRIPTION

Reports to: Headteacher

Salary: Competitive

IMMEDIATE START

We are looking to recruit a school security officer for day or night shifts.

Some of the key areas of the position will include:

• Patrolling
• Safeguarding school property
• Interacting with staff and students and maintaining a safe environment
• Log report writing

All applicants must have:

• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Be able to work as part of a team
• Be well presented and smart in appearance
• Be approachable and professional at all times

All employees have a responsibility

• to undertake training and development as required and to assist, where appropriate and necessary, with the training and development of colleagues;
• for their own and others’ health and safety, and for adhering to guidelines for the safeguarding of children;
• to be an ambassador for the school.
